Coachella Masonic Lodge
Raising Future Leaders of Coachella
Coachella Lodge #476 wishes all it's brothers, concordant bodies, family and friends a happy Thanksgiving. Lets all give thanks for what we have and the opportunity to gather with family and friends.

The Coachella Valley chapter of the Eastern Star just had their latest installation of officers. Congratulations to the new Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron - Jacqueline Calderon and Rodney Slagle. The turnout was amazing with the Grand Worthy Matron, Grand Worthy Patron and several over Grand Chapter officers of the state of California coming in to take part in the occasion. The cruise ship theme and decorations within the lodge pulled it all together. Along with the amazing catering done by none other than Diane Reed.

Many of our lodge members and their families had a chance to visit the Los Angeles Shriners Hospital for Children. This was an amazing opportunity to visit this famous hospital before it is finally retired to the new hospital that is being built in Pasadena. The facilities here are amazing and the amount of care the children receive is phenomenal. It was quite a joy to get a tour through all the offices, therapy rooms and workshops that build the prosthetics.

The end of June was a busy time for the lodge. For the first time Coachella Lodge participated in a special E-Recycling fundraiser. Our Masonic family brought a lot of e-waste to be recycled nearly filling our lodge hallway. On the day of, numerous locals brought their old TVs, computers and other e-waste to be recycled. Coachella Lodge would earn a percentage of what was collected that day. The final amount donated back to the lodge was over $1000 dollars! Thanks to everyone that helped with this program, we look forward to doing it again next year.
